Rochester foundation, Endless Highway, partners with the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital to provide donation to a unique Exercise for Persons with Disability Program using modern technology.
Increasing Access to Rehabilitation
“Endless Highway has provided support to Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital’s Exercise for Persons with Disability (ExPD) Program helping people with physical disabilities participate in an innovative form of exercise, Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES)-Rowing.
The ExPD Program, the only one of its kind in the U.S., uses FES technology that allows weakened or paralyzed leg muscles to contribute to the whole-body exercise of indoor rowing, leading to greater health and fitness benefits. This donation allows an opportunity for individuals that otherwise would not have access to this equipment.”
