Meet Rob Tortorella

Rob Tortorella founded Endless Highway with a 2011 charitable trust established by friends and family to celebrate his commitment to mobility and inclusion. Rob’s support and participation in adaptive sports includes water and snow skiing, outrigger canoeing, horseback riding, hot air ballooning, and more.

An athlete since childhood, Rob was varsity captain of the lacrosse team at Holy Cross College where he earned a degree in political science. Days after his college graduation in 1983, a motor vehicle accident resulted in a cervical spinal cord injury that caused permanent paralysis. Today, Rob uses a wheelchair for all aspects of mobility and is able to live independently.

.

Immediately following recovery, he worked under legendary disability rights leader Charlie Carr as an advocate for Northeast Independent Living Agency. Using his life-changing accident as an opportunity to make a difference, Rob remains a respected community leader for over thirty years. He was a featured speaker for Think First, a presentation for at-risk teens that raised awareness for permanent spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries, and he is currently on the Rochester Spinal Association Board. Rob resides in Rochester, New York, as the Founder and Executive Chairman of Corrosion Products & Equipment, Inc., and remains active with adaptive yoga and fitness. He enjoys spending time with friends and family and is an avid patron of the arts.
